a teenager's summer

one of the main goals during teenage years, especially summer, is not to just lay around, hang out with friends, and relax.....its about preparing yourself for the future. and what better time is there to do it. i used to think, and sometimes catch myself thinking it now, that when i  get older, ill clean my house more, ill cook, ill make money,  or even ill show more love to people. but the truth is...if i don't practice it all now, why would i have any intentions of doing it in the future? its better to start making good habits now while you have nothing to do. and don't let people look down on you because of your age. adults put on us this image that we are all the same...immature, lazy, kids. they don't expect you to do anything productive. and because we have no expectations, we fall short of all the things we can accomplish. some of you may have heard of the book Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris, and i encourage you to read it because it has changed my life! you can also visit there website therebelution.com. check it out and let me know what you think by leaving a comment!

ugh...sunburns :(

so the worst thing that could possibly happen is getting a sunburn! actually, its not...but it sure feels like it at the time, ha ha. And whats even worse about it is when you put on tons of sunscreen that doesn't really work but people try to convince you that it does...and then you find out it doesn't..the hard way! And you know advertisers will do almost anything just to get you to buy there product. constantly bashing other products just to sell there's..its terrible. so how do you know which one to buy?... i don't really know, i was hopping you could tell me :). by the way, its kinda random, but i never can tell if you use hoping or hopping when trying to use hope with ing on the end. someone once told me but i forget. leave a comment and let me know :)

HAPPY DAY OF FATHERS!

well, its that time of year again. the time where families gather round to celebrate a very special person...daddy. i used to think, "why isn't there a day to celebrate kids?" but then i realized...parents celebrate kids everyday of there life's just by raising us and giving up everything to show us love. i mean, if you think about it....they SHOULD have a day all about them!! and my dad...i would say hes the best person in the whole wide world to me! in fact, i can think of a few great stories of us hanging out and having a blast! and then all the embarrassing things he did that i now laugh about :). leave a comment to tell me about a great story, a funny story, or maybe something that just makes you smile about your dad.

p.s. don't forget to wish him happy fathers day!

red, the scarlet road

this may not make a whole lot of sinse but its a work in progress

down the street, a scream, a single tear
she runs in terror from her darkest fear
as she sheilds her face it hits her
red, the scarlet road

a distinct tic ecoes from the clock
a simple door unlocks
she cannot let this feeling go
red, the scarlet road

a shed of light in a place of dark
her fear no longer hides and lurks
her fright becomes her load
red, the scarlet road

she bites and claws but nowhere she gets
she tries to veil her secret
still the day she faces them she will never kill the beast
red...the scarlet road

hi :)

ok so this would be my first ever blog. and im gonna start it off with this
ive been thinking lately
what make us so called cool? is it our personalities or clothing,
our attitude or just the way we approach things?
maybe its just how we make it...if you try to be cool, its not going to happen. maybe its all about how we think...if we are afraid of everyone around us embracing their awsomeness, we won't get anywhere. i personally think that it really doesn't matter. i mean who are we to judge on this? nobody thats who? and its certainty not God who judges on so called "coolness", he looks in our hearts not our outward apperence...and though i may struggle to grasp that fact...its the plain truth and in a world that constantly judges you on your looks, we have to try to strive for what God cares about. Ask yourself this...does it matter to God whether you have the clothes or in some cases the shoes that everyone else has? it matters to God whether or not we strive to serve and praise him

thats my thought of the day...
